Interview with LDH Region 7 Director, Dr. Martha Whyte

So the other day, I tricked local shero Dr. Martha Whyte by asking for ten zoom minutes of her time, and it ended up being a much longer interview. BUT as we all know, one zoom minute is like ten real minutes (otherwise why else would work meetings last for-frickin-ever?)

I highly recommend watching this interview in its entirety. Dr. White is basically responsible for 20 parishes in our state, and her warnings about the ACTUAL NUMBERS of Covid cases versus the numbers we are seeing reported in the media are stark and real.

She also shares her own struggles surrounding not being able to bury her mother properly and of the lingering effects of COVID on her own husband, Dr. Bill Whyte, who was in ICU for 50 days with coronavirus.
