I Got Nominated for a 2020 Patriots of the Pandemic Award Hosted by the Bossier Chamber!
It was an honor to be nominated for a 2020 Patriots of the Pandemic Award. Each year, the Bossier Chamber of Commerce hosts a Patriots Award ceremony. This year, they spotlighted those who went above and beyond to help others during the pandemic. I’m so honored to have received a nomination.
Here is my bio from the ceremony:
Dr. Jaya McSharma, Hospitalist Physician and Vlogger
Dr. Jaya McSharma’s compassion and caring personality oozes through everything she does. As a Hospitalist Physician, she is on the front lines fighting COVID by treating and caring for patients. She always goes above and beyond for her patients at CHRISTUS Highland. She works hard to advocate for her patients’ best interest. When Dr. McSharma is not working at the hospital, she serves as a community educator through her vlog series Pigeonholed. When the coronavirus first hit, she was an invaluable source of information for the community with an added bit of comic relief. Dr. McSharma is a strong advocate for human rights, social justice, and is truly an inspiring voice for the community.
